Meet Pearl Basson
Pearl leads the Toptots Secunda branch with insight, compassion and a deep commitment to supporting families. Her background includes a decade of experience in the mental health sector, where she developed a strong understanding of emotional wellbeing and the importance of appropriate stimulation during the early years.
Before joining Toptots, Pearl founded a successful Toy Library initiative serving disadvantaged communities in Mpumalanga, creating access to resources that support learning through play. She has also facilitated numerous workshops on ADD and ADHD and has run support groups for parents and caregivers within her community.
At Toptots Secunda, Pearl facilitates the structured Toptots developmental programme in a welcoming environment that values inclusion, encouragement and purposeful play. Her breadth of experience allows her to support families not only in their child’s development, but also in navigating the broader challenges of early parenting.
